For the 'why is my site/email not working' days.

A practical guide to web tools on DailyTool

In short: Web utilities that actually get used: DNS lookup for any domain, email validator with SMTP check, URL encoder/decoder, app icon generator, AI resume builder. Free, no signup.

Half the tools here were born from real support tickets. 'Mail not going.' 'Site moved but still shows old server.' 'My URL breaks when there's a space in it.' Each one answers a specific question in under 10 seconds.

DNS Checker queries real records (A, MX, TXT, CNAME...). Email Validator does actual MX + SMTP handshake checks, not just regex. URL tool follows RFC 3986 properly, including emoji. Nothing fancy — just correct.

Who are these web tools for?

Everyday jobs these tools handle well

Site owners after migration

Check if DNS actually propagated or if it's just your cached browser lying to you.

Marketers & founders

Clean an email list before a campaign — one bad list can hurt deliverability for months.

App developers

Generate all 70+ iOS/Android/web icon sizes from one 1024px image.

How to get it right the first time

3 simple steps

1

For DNS issues, check from the tool — not your browser

Your browser caches DNS for hours. The checker queries fresh, so trust it over refresh-spamming your site.

2

Validate emails before you send, not after bounces

Paste the list, remove invalid + disposable + catch-all addresses first. 5 minutes here saves a damaged sender score.

3

Encode only the parameter, not the whole URL

Common bug: encoding the entire https://... breaks it. Encode just the messy value (name, query) and keep ://?&= intact.

💡

Real situations where this helps

Taken from jobs people actually do

Moved host, mail stopped

Run DNS Checker → MX tab. If MX still points to the old host, mail goes there. Fix MX at your DNS panel, wait 30 mins, re-check here.

Signup form rejects valid emails

Test the address in Email Validator. If MX exists but SMTP says catch-all, accept it but flag for review instead of hard-rejecting.

Need app icons by tonight

Upload one 1024x1024 PNG to App Icon Generator → download ZIP with iOS/Android/web folders + manifest. Drop into Xcode/Android Studio directly.

⚠️

Mistakes people make (so you don't have to)

Quick things worth knowing before you start

Changing DNS 5 times in panic

Each change resets propagation (up to 24-48h). Change once, verify here, then wait. Don't stack changes.

Treating 'valid syntax' as 'deliverable'

name@domain.com can be perfect syntax and still bounce if the domain has no MX. Syntax is not deliverable — check SMTP status.

Uploading a 200px logo for app icons

Icons upscale badly. Start with 1024x1024 minimum, otherwise store listings will look blurry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions people actually ask about web tools

📚 5 Questions Answered
How long does DNS propagation really take?
Often 30 minutes to 4 hours for most users, up to 24-48 hours globally for some ISPs. If our checker shows the new IP but your phone shows old, it's local cache — try mobile data or incognito.
Does Email Validator actually send an email?
No. It checks syntax, then MX records, then does an SMTP handshake (RCPT TO) and disconnects before sending anything. The address never receives mail from us.
Why is my URL broken after encoding?
You probably encoded the whole URL including :// and ?. Only encode the value part. Example: encode 'hello world & more' separately, then attach it to ?q=.
What size image for app icons?
1024x1024 PNG with your logo centered and some padding. The generator creates all smaller sizes from it. JPG works but PNG keeps edges sharp.
Is the resume builder really free?
Yes — templates, editing, and PDF export are free with no watermark. Your data stays in your browser; we don't store resumes.
