PDF to Word Conversion FAQ

Is the PDF to Word converter completely secure?

Yes. All processing, including text recognition (OCR) and document compilation, runs entirely local to your browser sandbox. Your files are never uploaded, ensuring complete privacy.

How does OCR work for scanned PDFs?

When you upload a scanned or image-based PDF and check the OCR option, our client-side engine uses Tesseract.js to analyze the pixels and convert them into editable characters and paragraphs in Word.

What is the difference between Preserve Layout and Flowing Text?

Preserve Layout keeps absolute frames and coordinates to match the original PDF visually, which is best for forms. Flowing Text links lines into dynamic wrapping paragraphs, making the file much easier to edit.

Can I extract images from the PDF?

Yes, you can enable the Extract Images setting to crop and embed visual graphics directly within the output Word document.

Does the tool support multi-language documents?

Yes. You can select the OCR language in the settings panel to load the corresponding character set and dictionary, supporting English, Spanish, French, German, and others.

Is there a page limit for local conversion?

We recommend converting documents with under 50-100 pages at once. Large files require higher browser memory during local processing, so page ranges are recommended for better speed.
