1. The Video Is Private (Most Common — 60% of Cases)
Symptom: the tool says "private or login required". Fix: there isn't one — and there shouldn't be. Check the icon on the video. Friends-only and group videos will never download. Ask the uploader to set it to Public, then retry.
2. You Pasted a Partial or Broken Link
Symptom: "This doesn't look like a Facebook link" error. Fix: forwarded links (e.g. via WhatsApp) are often truncated with ... in the middle. Open the original post and copy again via Share → Copy Link. The link must contain the full facebook.com or fb.watch address.
3. The fb.watch Short Link Didn't Resolve First Try
Symptom: "fetch failed" the first time, works the second. Fix: open the fb.watch link in Chrome first, wait until it becomes a full facebook.com link, then paste that full link into the tool. This worked 8 out of 10 times in my tests.
4. Free Limit (5/day) Is Used Up
Symptom: worked in the morning, "limit reached" by evening. Fix: wait until tomorrow (it resets daily) or go Pro — unlimited + HD + batch included.
5. The Video Was Deleted or Its Privacy Changed
Symptom: "video not found". Fix: open the link on Facebook — if it says "content not available" there too, the video is gone. No tool can bring it back.
6. A Browser or Network Hiccup
Quick checklist:
- Switch WiFi ↔ mobile data and retry.
- Update Chrome — old browsers sometimes block downloads.
- Turn off your ad-blocker once (it occasionally blocks the download button).
- Wait 1–2 minutes and retry — Facebook throttles requests at times.
7. Some Tool Is Asking for Your Facebook Login
Plain advice: don't log in there. A real downloader never needs your Facebook password. Password-asking sites often steal accounts. Our tool never asks for login — free or Pro.
🚨 My earnest request
Never enter your Facebook password, OTP, or "allow access" permission on any downloader site. I tested one such site in 2024 — spam messages started within 2 days. My rule since: asks for password = close the tab.
FAQ
Q: "No video found" but my link is correct. Now what?
Confirm the video is public (globe icon). Then paste the full link (the facebook.com version, not fb.watch) and retry.
Q: The download stops halfway?
The connection broke. Redo it on stable WiFi. This happens more with large HD files — always grab big files on a stable network.
Apply the Fix and Download Again
Paste the full public link — you'll know in 10 seconds.
